The LA400 has a powerful 24VDC motor, which provides exceptional starting torque and features soft start/stop operation. This promotes longer gate and operator life, as well as dependable performance. The LA400 is capable of operating gates up to 16 ft. long and weighing up to 550 pounds.
An on-board radio receiver is included with the LA400. Exclusive from Chamberlain, this provides a single remote control solution for gates and additional access points.

Optional equipment:
- Plug-in Loop Detectors: The operator's controller board
has been designed to accept up to 4 plug-in loop detectors
for exit, shadow and inside/outside interrupt loop function.
- Remote Fire Access Release: Allows the gate to be disengaged
from the operator to allow manual operation of the gate.
- Power Backup System: This system can be set to automatically
open or close the gate during a power outage.
- SAM Module: The Sequenced Access Management (SAM) system
module will allow you to control a pair of BG 3000 barrier
gates and a pair of SW 2000 swing gates in a tandem configuration.

inherent obstruction sensing
This unit's internal obstruction sensing system offers separate
force adjustments for both the open and the closed directions.
If the gate strikes an obstruction, a closing gate will reverse
to open and an opening gate will stop.
external obstruction sensing
Input connections are provided for external contact and non-contact
sensors, such as photo eyes and edge devices.
maglock control
A dedicated control relay is provided to activate and deactivate
an optional magnetic lock that secures the gate.
control inputs
Control inputs allow the connection of a full range of optional
external devices like loop detectors, telephone entry systems,
access control systems and radio receivers.
quick-release manual disconnect system
Provides a durable, simple-to-use manual disconnect with provisions
for a padlock.
single/dual gate operation
Allows operation of 2 separate gate operators in unison at
a single entrance. Assures consistent simultaneous open/close
cycle for both operators. Easily set for bi-part or bi-part
latch. The B3 board also renders the system Trap-Capable.
tandem gate operation
Provides for sequenced operation between the SW 2000 swing
gate operator and the BG 3000 barrier gate operator.
dynamic braking
The dynamic brake system adds substantial gate position control
at both the open and close limits.
timer to close
Adjustable timer can be set from 1 to 250 seconds. The unit
will automatically reset upon receiving any additional open
commands.
maximum run timer
Protects against damage to the gate and operator by limiting
the unit's run time to 75 seconds.
LED indicators
Operator input, status and diagnostic LEDs simplify setup
and troubleshooting.
limit switches
All driven limit switches and limit nuts are fully adjustable,
adding considerable convenience to unit installation and maintenance.
spike & surge protection
Specially designed circuitry provides excellent protection
from external spikes or surges.
access door
A removable door is designed into the operator's cover to
allow easy access for wiring, programming and diagnostics.
terminal wiring
All terminal blocks are removable to allow easy accessory

X3 Controller Board Expanded Features
This enhanced controller board incorporates an internal modem
and supports the LiftMaster's SGOWin programming software
to provide an exclusive set of outstanding additional features.

The controller automatically calls a pager or a remote computer
to notify and identify a fault condition.
Advanced Maintenance Alert System
Allows a dealer to provide a preventative maintenance service
based upon a programmed number of gate cycles. The system
can automatically call for routine maintenance.
remote diagnostics
Allows a user to call the operator and determine the status
of the operator's inputs and outputs. Can often eliminate
the need for a technician to visit the site.
7-day time schedule
Fully programmable internal open-and-close schedule allows
you to automatically open and close the gate.
event recording
The most recent 1,300 events, commands or actions are stored
in the X3 board's memory. This can be reviewed remotely
