1-channel Block Coded Key Ring Transmitter
Model Number: ACT-31B
The Model ACT-31B 1-Channel Block Coded Transmitter is designed for
use with Linear's access control products. The Model ACT-31B is a
single-channel device supplied with a quick-disconnect key ring. Also
included are lithium batteries with a five-year service life. A unique
10-second time-out feature prevents the system from being shut down
by a single transmitter transmitting continuously. The transmitter
is MegaCode format, which means each transmitter is factory preprogrammed
with one of over 1,000,000 codes, virtually eliminating the possibility
of code duplication. Because the receiver "learns" each
specific code, no unauthorized person can gain access to the system
by reprogramming a transmitter.
Block coded transmitters are factory programmed to a sequential
series of transmitter ID codes. When used with a Linear access controller,
transmitters can be locally or remotely programmed into memory by
entering the first and last codes of the block into the system.
Facility codes can be selected to further customize the system.

4-channel Block Coded Key Ring Transmitter Model
Number: ACT-34B
The Model ACT-34B 4-Channel Block Coded Key Ring Transmitter is designed
for use with Linear's access control products. The Model ACT-34B is
a four-channel device supplied with a quick-disconnect key ring. Also
included are lithium batteries with a five-year service life. A unique
10-second time-out feature prevents the system from being shut down
by a single transmitter transmitting continuously. The transmitter
is MegaCode format, which means each transmitter is factory preprogrammed

1-channel Key Ring Transmitter Model Number:
ACT-21A
For adding keyless remote entry and panic functions to an existing
access control system or as part of a new radio-based system, Linear
offers the ACT series – miniature keychain transmitters that
are compatible with all Linear access receivers and controllers. They
are a safe, convenient form of door, gate, or gate and door control
and are ideal for handicapped access. At sites where extra security
is needed, like campuses and parking garages, the two-channel model
can be used as a panic button to summon help. The ACT-21A is single-channel
device. It is supplied with a quick-disconnect key ring with two
rings – one for the transmitter and a car key and the other
for home or office keys. Also included are lithium batteries with
a five-year service life. A unique 10-second time-out feature prevents
the system from being shut down by a single transmitter transmitting
continuously.
This model is MegaCode format, which means that transmitter is
factory preprogrammed with one of over 1,000,000 codes, virtually
eliminating the possibility of code duplication. Because the receiver
“learns” each specific code, no unauthorized person
can gain access to the system by reprogramming a transmitter. Because
there are no dip switches, the code cannot be changed in the field.
Block coding is also available, to save the time required for the
transmitter to be individually learned. When used with a Linear
access controller, the transmitter can be locally or remotely programmed
into memory by entering the first and last codes of the block into
the system. Facility codes can be selected to further customize
the system. All transmitter code data is stored in non-volatile
EEPROM. Data is retained in excess of 10 years, even if battery
power runs out. |

3-channel Key Ring Transmitter Model Number:
ACT-22A
The ACT-21 and ACT-22 digital transmitters are wireless radio controls
designed for use with AM/II or AccessPro receivers. In addition the
MegaCode code is compatible with Linear MegaCode receivers and can
be used with MDR and MDRG type garage door and gate receivers. The
MegaCode radio format provides unparalled security. The format provides
more than 1 million different codes.
MegaCode transmiters and receivers do not contain a typical "coding
switch". Each transmitter is permanently coded at the factory
to a unique code. The receiver is programmed by "learning"
the transmitter's unique digital code. The receiver will activate
only from these "memorized" transmitters. |

3-channel Visor Transmitter Model Number: MCT-3
The MCT-3 3-channel Visor Transmitter is a wireless radio
control designed for use with automatic garage and gate operators.
Each of the three transmitter buttons will send a unique code when
pressed. One button can be used to activate the individual's garage
door opener, a second button can operate an access gate, a third
button can activate an additional garage door operator or most Linear
318 MHz MegaCode wireless receivers. |

1-channel Visor Transmitter Model Number: MDT-1A
For adding keyless remote entry and panic functions to an
existing access control system or as part of a new radio-based system,
Linear offers the MDT series. These handheld transmitters are compatible
with all Linear access receivers and controllers. They are a safe,
convenient form of door, gate, or gate and door control and are ideal
for handicapped access. At sites like campuses and parking garages,
where extra security is needed, multi-channel models can be used as
panic buttons to summon help. One-, three-, and five-channel models
are available. Each is lithium battery powered and supplied with
a metal clip for convenient attachment to a vehicle visor. A proprietary
pulse position format results in an extended transmission range.
The single-channel MDT-1A transmits the same code to the radio receiver
when either front or top button is pressed. It is used where only
remote control is needed, such as entrance to a gate when a free
exit loop is used.
All three models are MegaCode format, which means each transmitter
is factory preprogrammed with one of over 1,000,000 codes, virtually
eliminating the possibility of code duplication. Because the receiver
“learns” each of specific code, no unauthorized person
can gain access to the system by reprogramming a transmitter. Because

Safety Edge Transmitter Model Number: MGT
The MGT is for adding fully supervised obstacle sensing for
motorized gates, doors or barrier arms in any Linear access control
system. It mounts directly on the gate, door, or barrier and wires
to a standard exterior safety edge sensor (for full featured compatibility,
a Miller gate edge sensor with an optional .001 UF capacitor is recommended).
If an object is hit during the gate closing, the sensor will present
a closed circuit across the connecting wires and the MGT will transmit
a message to the access controller to reverse the movement of the
gate. Two MGT transmitters can be used with an AM/II or Telephone
Entry; one MGT can be connected to an AP3 controller. The MGT is
the industry’s only fully supervised gate safety edge transmitter.
It automatically sends an hourly status report to the access controller,
indicating battery condition and if the transmitter is operational.
Should the edge sensor be disconnected, shorted, or tampered with,
the MGT will report a trouble condition. The access controller indicates
the trouble condition by flashing its OBSTACLE light; the system’s
LCD display identifies the problem and a printer can log the event.
The trouble condition can be easily cleared by pressing # and 1
on the controller keypad.
The MGT transmitter is supplied in a weather-resistant, fiberglass
box. Its circuit board is coated to prevent moisture damage. The
enclosure mounts to the gate, door, or barrier arm through sealed
interior mounting screws. |
