CAT
2 HF CAT 4 HF
The Select Engineered Systems CAT 2 provides a single name,
backlit LCD display that will scroll both forward and backward.
The Select Engineered Systems CAT2 characters that are 5/16”
(8 mm) high. This display is very clear, even in bright sunlight.
Ideal for small apartments or small gated home sites.
The Select Engineered Systems CAT 4 provides a four names
at a time with a backlit LCD display that will scroll both
forward and backward. The Select Engineered Systems CAT4 characters
that are 3/8” (10 mm) high. This display is very clear,
even in bright sunlight. Ideal for medium sized apartments,
condos or gated communities.
Select Engineered Systems CAT2 and CAT4 Common Features:
14,400 baud modem.
13,000 event log buffer.
The Select Engineered Systems CAT 2 and CAT 4 will control
two entrances, without options. (two relays)
2 reader inputs (ready to add readers and cards or transmitters
and receivers)
RS485 expansion port (add up to 12 additional readers and
256 relays)
16 time zones, 16 access levels and 16 access groups.
Maximum phone number capacity is 2,700.
Maximum card (transmitter) capacity is 16,200 (each with a

The Select Engineered Systems CAT VIII and
BlackCAT provide outstanding standard features:
Display provides 8 names at a time with characters that are
5/8” (14 mm) high and the directory
scrolls forward and backward.
The LCD directory display is provided with back lighting,
and is very clear even in bright sun light.

Select Engineered Systems Expansion DR4
Select Engineered Systems CATDR4 Features:
TheSelect Engineered Systems CATDR4 works with any CAT and
provides four wiegand inputs for card readers, keypads or
long range proximity. Includes all of the necessary relays
to control up to four entrances.
Each Select Engineered Systems CATDR4 is controlled by the
CAT and is connected via RS485.
Three Select Engineered Systems CATDR4’s may be added
to any CAT and the last expansion module can be 4,000 feet
Each Select Engineered Systems CATDR4 is “opto isolated”
from all other expansion modules and the CAT providing additional
surge suppression and isolation of any surge damage.
Select Engineered Systems CATDR4’s and CATRLY8 may both
be added to any CAT.
Select Engineered Systems CATRLY8 Features:
The Select Engineered Systems CATRLY8 provides 8 relays for
controlling elevator access.
The Select Engineered Systems CATRLY8 may also be used to
control other items like lights or HVAC systems.
The Select Engineered Systems CATRLY8 is “opto isolated”
from all other expansion modules and the CAT to provide additional
