IDentity
Title 21
The IDentity Title 21 Series is Sirit’s flagship product line
for high speed highway applications. It complies fully with the
Title 21 standard for electronic toll collection developed by Caltrans
(California Department of Transportation).
Sirit has the largest install base of Title 21 compliant
AVI systems in the world with installations in California (Orange
County toll roads, San Francisco bridges, State Route 91, and I-15),
Denver (E-470 toll road), South America and China. At the heart
of Sirit’s AVI solution is the transponder or “tag”,
a device that is placed on a motorist’s windshield to identify
the vehicle. The tag communicates through Sirit’s antenna
to a reader controller card which identifies the tag and transfers
the information to the host management system. The IDentity T21
transponder can be read by the reader with an accuracy level in
excess of 99.6% at vehicle speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour. From
barrier-based to open highway application, IDentity T21 provides
the highest performance, accuracy and reliability available.

Traffic Probe
Traffic Probe Basics
Travel time between highway segments is an important measure to highway
engineers, system operators, and public safety personnel. Accidents,
weather, and congestion play a role in daily commute times and route
decisions for travelers. A number of techniques such as magnetic sensors,
video imaging or radar detection platforms are available for determining
traffic speed, volume, and other metrics essential for planning, safety,
access control, or just for reporting traffic conditions between exits.
These systems ultimately all have limitations in cost, function, and
reliability; and are not always effective in producing the detail
or accuracy required to achieve the results desired. In areas where
toll transponders are used by even a small percentage of the traffic
population, Sirit’s Traffic Management solution has proven
to be an easily implemented and cost effective answer to monitoring
commute time or traffic patterns. By deploying Sirit readers at
multiple points along designated intervals of a toll highway or
freeway, and by connecting those points by wire or wireless to a
central host, travel time and traffic flow can be closely monitored
in real time accumulating valuable data for traffic management or
safety engineering.
Sirit Offers Custom Software Solutions and Product Integration
Sirit’s experienced Toll Solutions software and integration
team is well equipped to design, deliver, and integrate a complete
probe-based data collection system to your traffic management specifications.
Design, project management, integration, and RFID solutions for
the intelligent transportation industry are our core strengths.
.
Sirit’s IDentity Flex RFID reader is designed specifically
for road segment monitoring across single or multiple lanes under
all weather and traffic conditions. Using the latest generation
radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and an embedded
base of Caltrans Title 21 compatible toll transponders, accurate
vehicle identification is reported to the host system using Sirit’s
traffic probe protocol. This robust protocol was uniquely developed
by Sirit to rapidly and accurately convey the tag identification,
location of read point, time of read, and channel to the host controller.
The protocol also includes an impressive array of diagnostic and
monitoring features for testing or upgrading functionality. |

IDentity Flex and IDentity
ZiP
IDentity FlexSirit’s automatic vehicle identification system
has been designed to give users a fast, cost effective, and highly
reliable access control system. The IDentity Flex was developed to
increase vehicle throughput using the latest in sophisticated radio
frequency technology providing a system that is both secure and reliable.
Sirit’s IDentity Flex reader system uses Radio Frequency Identification
(RFID) technology to read Sirit’s IDentity Flex and Title
21 vehicle mounted transponders. Mounted in a weather resistant
NEMA enclosure, it is a self-contained versatile reader capable
of stand-alone operation or interfacing with industry standard controllers.Sirit’s
IDentity Flex reader’s unique ability to interface up to four
antennas creates an economical solution for automatic vehicle access
requirements. Quite simply, IDentity Flex offers the best price
and performance of any system available today. No longer do you
have to sacrifice convenience for security.

OEM Embedded RFID Readers
Sirit’s OEM modules are “RFID-enabling” board-level
building blocks that are designed to be embedded and integrated within
OEM devices and finished products such as handheld / portable data
terminals, label printers, and cashless payment terminals.
Sirit modules complement the core functionalities of these products
by providing them with the ability to function as RFID readers /
writers. The Company’s modules have been designed into and
serve as the core RFID technology for a wide range of RFID offerings
from tier-1 OEMs (including LXE, PSC, Psion-Teklogix, Handheld Products,
AGFA, and Texas Instruments), as well as OEM channel partners /
integrators.
Sirit offers a broad range of modules to support a myriad of RFID
frequencies (UHF (902-928 MHz), HF (13.56 MHz), LF (125 / 134.2
kHz)), tag protocols (EPCglobal, ISO, proprietary flavors), data
collection methods (RFID, barcode), and performance requirements,
thereby enabling the Company to address a broad range of applications
and market needs.
