This heavy-duty dual gooseneck pedestal accommodates card readers, intercoms, keypads, entry/exit buttons, biometric readers, telephone entry systems, cameras, housings, and other access control devices from any manufacturer. Its double-head design supports commercial entry gates through which vehicles of all sizes must pass, including passenger cars, delivery vans, buses, semi-trucks, and construction equipment. Its 12" reach and dual 42" and 84"-high heads enables convenient interactions between drivers and the pedestal’s technology. Drivers can reach and communicate with devices without hanging out their window or folding in the side mirrors of their vehicles.
This pedestal includes a face plate with universal hole patterns, a heavy-duty base plate, and a sliding cover plate to hide mounting bolts that secure the base. Designed for easy wiring, it features a single 4" x 4" channel, which allows for wiring from both the lower and upper heads. Position the base on or off a concrete curb or island. Compared to in-ground or wet-cement-mounted pedestals, the pad-mount base simplifies the replacement of damaged units.Â
The unit is powder coated with a UV protectant to promote longevity in all weather conditions and engineered to survive sustained Category 5 hurricane-force winds. This unit features an architectural neck style, and a .120"-thick steel wall tube that uses 62% more steel than competitors' models.
Two different styles of mounting bolt kits are available (sold separately) to mount the pedestal to the ground. Each pedestal ships foam-wrapped and boxed individually for safe transport and includes carriage bolt hardware. Customized colors, heights, reaches, face plates, and base plates are available.
