StrongArmDOT model is specifically designed for Department of Transportation applications and features standard galvanized steel chassis and breakaway arm bracket.
StrongArmDOT features a breakaway arm bracket that shears bolts and pivots out of the way after being hit. Perfect for reversible traffic lanes, traffic metered highway on-ramps and other controlled roadway applications. Open arms up to 28 ft (8.5 m) in 5 seconds. Arm will remain vertical, at a full 90°, when held open. Center yoke, breakaway arm bracket for aluminum or aluminum/fiberglass arm options. Operator comes standard with hot dipped galvanized steel chassis with stainless steel cover for superior anti-corrosion protection.
StrongArmDOT must be configured with galvanized chassis and stainless-steel cover option, SA-4-02. Arms 20 ft or longer require counterweights.
