The direct drive motor featured on this gate opener means the motor is mounted directly into the gear reducer, so you'll never have any belts that need replacing. The RAM-1000 is also equipped with a heavy-duty worm gear that is lubricated in an oil bath for smooth and whisper quiet operation. Another convenience offered by this gate opener is it has a foot release pedal (able to be locked with a padlock), which allows for easy manual operation of the gate if there is a power outage.
